Scholarships

The New Connecticut Veterans Scholarship at Lakeland Community College is funded through the proceeds of the Wreaths Across America Campaign held yearly. On December 13, 2025, the New Connecticut chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will once again be participating in Wreaths Across America. This will be their 10th year, placing wreaths at Evergreen cemetery in Painesville, and also at Riverside. When they first participated in honoring our fallen veterans, they also promised to assist local veterans.

 

As a result of this program, it was announced at last year’s ceremony that a $1,000 scholarship world be given annually to a Lakeland Community College student that has served or is serving our great nation.
